It can be easy to assume that transformative renovations in the Boston area are only for posher properties being redone on a grand scale. Not so. Case in point: the redesign of Unit 252 at the Porter 156 complex in East Boston. It had been a rawer space, a typical boxy studio, until its owner hired Boston-based ONY Architecture to refurbish it and add space.
